I believe work should be personal: I make art about things I know and experience. My work is usually narrative. I hope that an element of mystery is always present allowing you to use your own experiences and interpretation. My principal concern is the yin-yang of life: positive and negative, inside and outside, dark and light, physical and spiritual, pain and joy, hate and love. Never one without the other.<\/p>\n
My work is a humanist interpretation of traditional archetypes with the male figure playing centre stage. There\u2019s a strong allegorical thread which reinterprets traditional religious and mythical iconography to express very personal autobiographical parables.<\/p>\n
I\u2019m a gay man and that is a big part of the world I show. I\u2019m fascinated by men, masculinity and athleticism. I like the air of danger and adventure when testosterone levels rise. I love disguise and display.<\/p>\n
